About the role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SSE) with strong hands-on experience in building microservices-based applications using Python and FastAPI, deploying them on AWS using Docker, Kubernetes, and Knative. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, and distributed systems. You will be part of a cross-functional team that owns its services end-to-end—from design and development to deployment and monitoring.
What would you do?
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Python (preferably with FastAPI) in a cloud-native environment.
 - Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Kubernetes and Knative.
 - Implement and maintain high-quality, testable, and scalable code with a focus on performance and security.
 - Collaborate with DevOps and platform engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines and enforce coding standards.
 - Leverage AWS services (especially Aurora, Postgres, and DynamoDB) for backend storage and compute.
 - Integrate observability and monitoring tools (such as Prometheus and Grafana) to ensure system health.
 - Ensure secure coding practices by using tools like Sonar, Snyk, and GitHub Enterprise.
 - Package and publish internal Python libraries using Poetry and Artifactory.
 - Follow best practices in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservice architecture.
 - Collaborate with team members in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
 
Who you are? / What we expect:
- 5–8 years of professional experience in backend development using Python.
 - Strong experience building RESTful APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
 - Hands-on experience with AWS, including services like Aurora (Postgres) and DynamoDB.
 - Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and Knative (Knative experience is mandatory).
 - Familiar with Istio or other service mesh technologies.
 - Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git workflows, and tools like GitHub Enterprise, Sonar, and Snyk.
 - Experience packaging Python libraries using Poetry and publishing them to Artifactory.
 - Exposure to observability stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, and log monitoring tools.
 - Comfortable working in Agile development environments and collaborating across distributed teams.
 - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools - Terraform and AWS CDK.
 
The icing on the cake:
- Exposure to MLflow, Kubeflow, or AWS SageMaker.
 - Familiarity with multi-tenant architecture and best practices.
 - Experience running Jupyter notebooks in containerized environments.
 - Exposure to observability stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, and log monitoring tools.
