About the role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to join our product organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with project management expertise to drive the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects. You will work closely with engineering, product, design, and other cross functional teams to define project goals, develop plans, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet both business and customer needs.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given. Interaction and leadership across functional lines is essential.
What would you do?

Program and Project Management: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional technical programs. Develop program schedules, identify risks, and communicate program status and goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define program requirements, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues to drive progress.

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and understand the details of complex software and infrastructure systems. Facilitate design and other technical discussions and trade-off decisions.

Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for project communication, ensuring clarity across teams and keeping all stakeholders informed of project status, risks, and milestones. Incorporate metrics into all stages and communications to remove subjectivity; ensure data-driven decision making.

Risk Management: Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation plans. Resolve issues as they arise to ensure smooth project execution.

Process Optimization: Identify areas of improvement in processes and workflows. Implement best practices in program and project management to enhance team efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and create regular status reports to communicate progress to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Agile Facilitation: Support Agile processes and act as a Scrum Master as needed, facilitating release planning, sprints, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Track and manage dependencies across teams, functions and geographies.
What we expect:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a related role in a software or technology-focused company.
- 3+ years of direct experience managing cross-disciplinary programs.
- Strong practical understanding of managing the life cycle of large-scale programs and projects. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Have the ability to write and present ideas clearly, concisely and in an engaging manner.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority programs in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong experience in driving operational excellence.
- Experience in cloud technologies, distributed systems, or related technical domains.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
