About the team

The CSX Platform team is a central team for product management that provides company leadership on the strategic plan for core platform, data, and AI/ML. The CSX Platform is a base across many products and services that the company offers in the market. It is an ongoing interface with both the internal and external stakeholders to keep upgrading, maintaining, and introducing new technologies and capabilities into the marketplace. It is a highly dynamic team that interacts with a worldwide-based set of stakeholders, driven by the mindset of improvement and heavy commitment to action.

About the role

The (Manager, Product Management - Core Platform) is a pivotal technical PM leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, creation, and management of the company's core platform. The incumbent would drive technical innovation, ensure the platform is scalable, and optimize its performance while leading product managers. It is a job that involves strategic product management in conjunction with technical leadership. Your role will be to take care of the platform catering not only to present business needs but also future-ready to support long-term growth for the company. You will work closely with engineering, UX, Solution Architects and other cross-functional teams to ensure we are able to drive a scalable and robust platform.

What do you do? 

Product Management:

• Product Development: Define and manage product requirements, focusing on technical feasibility and their alignment with the architecture of the platform. Oversee the entire product life cycle from ideation to execution.
• Market & Technical Analysis: Carry out the necessary depth of market and technical research in the identification of trends, customer needs, and potential areas for innovation. Collaborate with internal teams to gather and prioritize technical requirements.

Technical Leadership:

• Platform Architecture: Lead the definition and drive continuous improvements in the architecture of the core platform ensuring it is scalable, secure, and supports high availability.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Continuously optimize and enhance performance, scalability, and cost of the cloud infrastructure of the platform using AWS services.
• Innovation: Keep abreast of industry trends, bring in new technologies, and technically innovate to ensure the platform remains in front.
• Technical Strategy: Develop and communicate a product roadmap, prioritizing technical improvements that are in line with the strategic direction of the company.

Team Development:

• Mentorship: Recruit and mentor a technically proficient product management team so that you can guide them to build a culture that would be in continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to ensure product management processes are supportive of technical development and innovation.

Metrics & Analytics:

• Performance Tracking: Define, track, and analyze key technical metrics to ensure the platform is performing in target uptime, latency, and cost optimization of AWS usage.
• Data-Driven Decisions: Drive continuous improvement of the platform technically using insights learned from the data on performance.

Qualifications: • Education: o bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Who you are? / What we expect:

Technical Skills:

• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, with relevant AWS certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
• Good knowledge of platform architecture and design, API development, and system integration.
• Agile methodologies and experience in managing technical resources in an Agile environment.

Leadership & Communication:

• Strong leader with the ability to mentor and develop a team of product managers and engineers.
• Strong communicator, able to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to make data-driven decisions and effectively prioritize technical initiatives.
